Beating the Heat on a Tight Infill Site
We took on a mixed-use infill project right off the Parkway last August where space was nonexistent. The site was squeezed between two occupied post-2000 apartment buildings, and the heat was radiating off the asphalt. The General Contractor was sweating bullets about odor complaints from the residential neighbors, knowing a single call to the city would pause his permits and kill his momentum.
We established a strict early-morning cleaning schedule before the Pelham Parkway traffic got heavy. My crew used heavy-duty deodorizers and scrubbed the tanks down twice a week to combat the high temperatures. We positioned the units under the scaffolding shade rather than out in the open to keep the internal temperature down. The construction finished on schedule without a single noise or smell complaint from the tenants next door.
Marco knew exactly where to place the units so the residents never had a reason to complain.
